Affinity for conversion to estrogen: Non-existent
The Turinabol drug exists as one of a select few anabolic compounds in terms of its history and actions. Namely, it is one of the few drugs that wasn’t repurposed from medical or research uses. Instead, it was originally developed by Soviet labs in the mid to late 20th century, explicitly for the use of athletic populations.
For this reason, it has a few tailored effects that make it clear that Turinabol was built for the exclusive development of athletic attributes.
From a structural perspective, Turinabol is an offshoot of the Clostebol compound, which is itself a derivative of the Dianabol agent. Namely, it differs through the addition of a methyl group with a 4-chloro chemical group to the testosterone structure.
This gives it the unique properties of being a non-aromatizable agent, meaning it doesn’t partially process into the estrogen hormone, while also not being a c17-alpha-alkylated oral steroid, as most other oral steroids are. This helps promote the acquisition of lean muscle tissue in a gradual and efficient way without concurrent adipose tissue or fluid buildup, as well as lower risk for hepatic strain.
This can produce some very favorable outcomes for athletic users. Just be aware that it can be harder to get than other anabolic agents, even on the black or underground or online market.
The moderate, yet efficient nature of Turinabol means that, while it won’t cause a massive accrual in size, the gains that are elicited will be that of muscle tissue. It has been reported that an increase of around 10 to 15 pounds can be attained in a given phase of 4 to 6 weeks, depending on nutrition and training practices that accompany it. However, dose and appropriate use will play a key role here too.
As mentioned just above, as with any major drug, the amount of Turinabol used in a given program will dictate the outcome of its use, as well as the length of time its used for.
Here, the dosage is a little tricky due to a lack of formal guidelines on its use for medical purposes. However, the most commonly reported amount is between 20 to 75 milligrams each day, depending on whether the goal is lean size gain or muscle preservation during size reduction. This would also be the dose used by males.
For females, its use is not recommended at all. However, some have reported using it successfully at a dose of around 5 milligrams per day.
One aspect that makes Turinabol so appealing to many users, or those aspiring to get their hands on it, is how friendly it is from a side effect perspective. However, this doesn’t mean for a second that there are no undesirable effects with its use.
These unwanted events associated with Turinabol use can include:
- The reduction or cessation of
endogenous testosterone manufacturing, which can persist for a while even after
use of Turinabol has stopped, which means it would be advised to add an
esterified testosterone product to your program to prevent deficiency-related
- Androgen-mediated issues, although
milder in nature, including skin issues like oily skin and acne, and faster
balding in at-risk individuals, as well as virilizing effects in women
- Hepatic strain with use, although
milder than in other oral agents, which may elicit hepatic damage over a
prolonged period of time
- An increase in heart ventricle size,
unhealthy cholesterol levels, and blood vessel wall stiffness, which increase
the chance of a cardiac event
The first of these problems also means that you will need to consider implementing a Post-Cycle Therapy regime, with HCG and SERMs to help accelerate the pace at which recovery to normal levels of endogenous manufacturing occurs. Not to mention this will help you keep all the progress that you made throughout your phases of hard work, and lay a good foundation for future training phases to come.
